Icon2 electrical issue

i have a lil issue with my 91 crx si. i just put a 95 b18b (ls) in it, went to start it....no start. im not getting spark.... sorda..... i pulled the plugs, set them on the intake manifold (grounded) and turned it over to see if i was getting spark. my #3 and #4 plugs each spark twice then i dont get any spark at all. the other 2 plugs dont spark at all. i replaced the dizzy, cap, rotor, wires, and plugs since i wuz gonna do that anyways. tryed 2 different ecu's, a pm6 and a pr4. and still the same problem. i bought the car with no motor so i had to get a motor harness. im using a HF harness. i wuz told si and hf harnesses are the same thing. is that right???????? also when i bought the car i didnt realize till i got home but there wuz mice living in it 4 awhile. does this issue sound like those mice got to my body harness???????? any help would be greatly apreciated. thanks

well,

if you replaced everything in the ignition system and you still dont have spark, i would guess it would be in the wiring.

what distributer are you running?

is it timed correctly? and at TDC?

what about measuring for resistance at the plugs for the dizzy...

it needs to be in time to start properly....

search for the ohm resistance that is supposed to be at the distributer.

this would let you know if are getting power, or have a potential short in the wiring.

you put it in time by putting the timing marks on the crank pully and the cam gears straight up. make them point straight up.

You have a B18b with d-series engine harness from and hf?

and you cant have an obd1 dizzy in a obd0 car. wont work....

okay. well,

thats your problem.

you need the engine harness for a B18b. not a D16(si) or a D15(hf).

ive read you may be able to use the si harness with some modifications depending on which OBD you run. but you will def. have to use the b18 injectors and if you stay obd0 you have to have a resistor box. look elsewhere for information on this

and

if your entire engine is obd0 an obd1 dizzy wont work,
and by "wont work" i mean wont work.

just use the obd0 one & get the proper engine harness for your motor

thanks for the advice but i dont think u know what ur talking about. for 1 my "motor" came out of a 95 teg "obd1". i had to convert a few things to obd0. for 2 a b18b "obd1" harness wont plug into my body harness "obd0". and neither will a b18a "obd0".. for 3 u can use a d series harness. for 4 in this thread i said 3 times already im using a obd0 dizzy. thanks anyways

i think he was being polite enough.. spreading incorrect information doesn't help anyone, and only serves to confuse others who are seeking out similar information.

clearly the hf harness is your issue. i'm not certain but it may be possible to reverse the directions givin above to get the hf harness to work in the Si. personally i think it would be many times easier to just source out a Si harness. they're not very expensive.

Use the obd0 pr4, obd0 dizzy, and obd0 injectors with res. box, and you'll be good to go

Use an engine harness of the same model as the car. Hf and Si are different, similar, but different.
