Default TIMING KEYLESS START

Hello, currently I have an '07 Honda Civic and was wondering how I would change the 'timing' for the keyless starter. Right now, I can start the car from my office and the car runs for 10 minutes. It gets fairly cold here and 10 minutes or the car running does nothing to heat the car. I have taken it to various shops around the city, but they can not change it due to government pollution by-laws. I know there is a way to do it, I just need to know how. If anyone could tell me my boyfriend is a mechanic and we have not been able to find anything as of yet on how to do this. Hopefully we can get this underway soon!

Best Regards;
Tarisa

I do not think Honda offered remote start as an option.

OP: Where did you get this keyless start kit installed? They should be able to alter the duration for you. Good luck.

The remote start was installed directly at the Honda dealership when we bought the car, and we bought it new. Unfortunetly they were one of the ones that said due to Canadian law they could not adjust the run time for any longer then 10 minutes

Timing won't do anything. My FG2 will sometimes get colder, the longer it sits, idling. Any day when it is below about 32, forget about it. The only way to truly get it warm is to drive around.

check the user manuals section... if it is indeed the Honda accessory, pressing the command button and the start button again just like you did the first time, should extend the timing to 20 mins and it would display as such on the remote. So it should work that way.
