Harmonic balancer major problem.
ok, my brother lost his harmonic balancer it fell off on the highway on his 93 civic lx d16z6 v tec and he put a new one on and it just spun and i told him its missing the woodruff key to hold it in place. so he jb weld it and it fell off a day later. he gave me the car for 100 and i pulled the motor yesterday so i could drop it into my 92 4 door civic and make it standard.
Well the timing belt pulley thingy on the crank the end of it has a metal thing comming out of it for the harmonic balancer to slide onto then bolt on. well its not their nomore it broke.
is their a way of changing the whole gear pulley by its self or is it part of the crankshaft?

you mean at the end of the crank, past the timing gear, there is no place to attach the pulley? check to be sure the timing gear didn't just slide off a bit, but the end of that piece is part of the crank. if it's gone, you'll need a new crank. again, this is going from memory on a b16, so i may be wrong, but bump for you anyway.
The gear itself is seperate and can be replaced on its own, but its sounds like your brother broke the crankshaft off after the crank pulley, only fix there is a new crank. D15B7 crank wont fit either just in case you were wondering, main and rod journals are smaller.
