Tein S replaced with HFP susp.
Just replaced Tein S springs with the HFP suspension upgrade on my 08 SI Sedan.
I really liked the lowering the Tein S gave me, but the ride was rough and I hit most
every speed bump and steep drive way. The HFP suspension is great! Alittle lower but not enough to cause problems and the ride is firm yet not to tough and the car corners nearly
flat. A great upgrade for daily driving.

Even at a total of 762.xx before tax is still a great price considering I saw that same set run for 800+ on other sites. And why not just install it yourself, does honda have to install it for warranty purposes?
I don't have the tools and have a very good mechanic who charges fairly and does good work. No, the Teins lowered my car about 1.5 -1.75 inches whereas the HFP set-up was maybe 3/4 of an inch. If I had kept the Teins, I would of had to address the camber
issues in the rear. The front camber was not an issue. The car drives much better with the HFP set-up. I was not to sold on this set-up at first, but wish I had initially installed it.

Appearance and cosmetic for that. https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-acura-28/
Honda parts carry a 12 month 12,000 mile warranty regardless of place of installation. Assuming the installing dealer sold him the parts the labor to replace a warranty claim will be covered as well.
You'd be hard pressed to get any garage to pull out defective parts for a warranty claim they installed if they didn't sell the parts to you unless the defect was caused by improper installation.
For example you found an awesome buy on the HFP set up from hondapartscheap.com, you then take the parts to Alamo Joes Suspension Corral-o-Rama to get their $2.99 per corner suspension install. A few months later one of the struts starts to leak and the spring cracks, you proceed to Alamo Joes to have them take out the part and they say $699.99 please. While the part may have a warranty from Honda, Alamo Joe doesn't warranty labor on customer supplied parts.
Same goes for a different dealer installing the parts. You bought online at hondapartscheap.com, but had your local Honda dealer install the parts, you may be up doo doo creek to get them to cover the labor on a warranty claim.
Additionally to have a warranty on a Honda part the VIN and mileage must be supplied.

I'm sorry. I did not change the struts with the Tein set-up. I was using the Tein springs with the original SI struts. If I had kept the set-up, I would most likely of had to change the struts and address the rear camber issue. Alot of extra money, and I got it all with the HFP set-up and did not have to deal with the rear camber issue.
this issue with camber has been bothering me as well which is why i havent bought any springs on coilovers for fg2...i would really like to see some pics of how it looks and how much of difference shows in the drop...if it looks good ill most likely will be going with HFP as well
