don't, pointless... unless you are having it tuned to set the vtec at the point where it will make the most power. chances are if you do install it you will end up hurting your car's overall performance.

X2, definately don't install it, just sell it or give it away. You will be getting no more power by lowering your vtec down to 3/4k or wherever you want to set it, definately just if tuned properly. Check this out so you can understand vtec better http://www.hondahookup.com/info/vtec.php

Unless you have a built motor and are tunning for max hp then the stock setting is best for all around daily driving

i dont know what stock vtec kicks at but after talking to the guys at phearable.net for a while, i decided that 5500 would be a good place for my vtec to kick. my b16 is pretty stock other then having gsr cams. i am assuming that 5500 is about where it should normally kick though, but i can tell you right now my car hits vtec at 5000 and it definitely doesn't feel right it doesn't really start making power till 5500...

hahah

you splice the vtec solenoid wire at the ecu and some other wire. Look up how to hook up a vafc or buddy club vcon controller, you do it the same way. If you want to do it thats your thing, but it really is pointless and wont help

first, you'll have to start by getting a motor that actually has vtec.... then you will still be wasting your time getting a vtec controller. if your car is not built.... stock ftw.

This is ridiculous these kids want a vtec controller so they can set it at like 2k and all that. They dont even understand that they are completely useless unless you have a real build. and then a vtec controller for a b18b lmao.

Default How to set vtec at the best cross over

Set the vtec point low and make a dyno run
Set the vtec point high and make a dyno run..
You now know what the low profile end and the high profile takes over. Permentantly set vtec at that point.

this "kid" doesnt understand its useless to begin with anyway when you can chip your ecu with oh i duno such softwares as uberdata, crome......for free? hey then you can tune that thing all you want. since youre already under the impression you can buy a "vtec controller" and make your car run better. and P.S. Otherkid. Theyre useless even if you have a "real" build.
