trans for b20
ok im dong a b20 swap in my crx and i kno the newer b20s are the better ones now what b trany fits i dont wana buy one and not fit im thinken bout a ls trans but what years will it make a dif?? and is the crv the only honda with the b20 thats good
any cable b series tranny will fit ....your choice: short gears b16, long gears ls tranny.......or you can get a b16 and put a cable tranny ls 5th gear and have a short 1-4 and have a nice 5th gear to cruise on the freeway
or if you can find a cable gsr tranny it will get you right in between the b16 and ls. also an option is to buy the hydro to cable conversion from hasport and you can get any of the above mentioned transmissions in hydrolic. they are a lot easier to find. i have personally done the hydro to cable conversion on a gsr tranny and was very pleased with it.
i doing the same swap on my 89 crx with the 99 crv motor the only thing is making me sick is the wires i mean i dont know what engine harness i need to make this thing work i got ls cable trans on my planing getting a turbo thats way i using long gears
Use the stock '89 harness with OBDI conversion and you're done.
