AFAIK, any B series tranny should work. For alot of highway crusing, I'd recommend the LS. I've got a B16 in my crx and daily driving on the highway is turning crazy rpms.

any cable b series tranny will fit ....your choice: short gears b16, long gears ls tranny.......or you can get a b16 and put a cable tranny ls 5th gear and have a short 1-4 and have a nice 5th gear to cruise on the freeway

or if you can find a cable gsr tranny it will get you right in between the b16 and ls. also an option is to buy the hydro to cable conversion from hasport and you can get any of the above mentioned transmissions in hydrolic. they are a lot easier to find. i have personally done the hydro to cable conversion on a gsr tranny and was very pleased with it.

Use the stock '89 harness with OBDI conversion and you're done.
