type r ecu into gsr problems.
i have a 98 gsr built the bottom end with eagle h beam rods and jdm type r pistons. still uuse the gsr head ported polished with skunk 2 stage 2 cams, gears, titanium retainers, springs, and ferra stainless valves...std size. my gsr p72 ecu pops codes for feul trim malfunction and system too rich. im sure this is due to the cams, so i got a type r ecu from a 98 and the car runs great the check engine light comes on when the key does for the test like normal then goes out and never comes back on, but where im having a problem is we require obd2 state inspections in texas and my ecu will not communicate with any of my scanners or the state computer. i am a technician for a living this one just seems a bit odd. is there any way to tell if its a jdm ecu? was supossed to be a usdm /shrug
