Default B18C5 into a 97 Civic EX

I have a friend who just totaled his '00 Integra Type-R USDM with the B18C5... it has 102k or so miles on it... He was rear-ended and bought the car back and I get first dibs at the parts.

What parts are needed for the swap? Engine, Trans & ECU of course, but what about the little parts?

What axles will fit? Do I use the ones out of the Type-R or do I have to find some from and 99-00 SI?

I know I need to find the driver's side motor mount from a 99-00 Si or Del Sol VTEC and the AC compressor mount from 97-01 CRV or Del Sol VTEC (if I want to the AC).

How much different is this swap from B16A? or B18C1?

Will I be swapping out the D16Y8 motor, it leaks from both the front and rear main seal.

You cant use his mounts but you can use most of your stock ones plus one 99-00 si one which im not sure of but somebody will probably post it soon. You can use his axles but you would have to use his 5 lug setup because of the different size axles. Or you could get 99-00 si axles.

I want his 5lug brake setup though lol Can I have them?

Thank you. 5 Lug might be going onto his '94, not sure, he did the rear disk (4lug) on it at the begining of the summer.

The next question...

Will can I use the EX engine harness or do I use the ITR harness?

You have to use the EX harness. BUT hang on to the ITR harness, they're excellent for installing an OBD2 ITR/GS-R engine in a '92 - '95 civic or '94 - '95 integra.

Its pretty much exactly the same as a B16A, a B18C1 involves marginally more wiring because of the IABs.

False. USDM ITRs use the same 32mm axles as all other '90 - '01 USDM integras and '88 - '00 civics (except '88 - '91 HFs and STDs). 98+ JDM 5 lug setups are 36mm, and obviously require 36mm axles.

Yep, make sure you get the linkage.

Edit, kinda forgot when I posted about axles, the '88 - '91 HFs and STDs don't use 32mm axles, they're smaller. My point about ITR axles in relation to the OPs swap still stands though.

Thank you for that... that was one of my main concerns. I knew the JDM ITR had the bigger axles, but I wasn't sure about the USDM ITR.
