quick temp and tps Q?
well I've had a random heating problem. And today a noticed my tps was loose. As if someone had removed and installed back in a ghetto way. I sort of tightened it but I'm gonna go buy some new bolts to place it right cuz they left the oem ones. Now can a loose tps contribute to overheating somehow? And can anyone tell me how to adjust it to the right specs. I have a multimeter but I don't know how much it's suppose to read
tps has nothing to do with your overheating. see if your have enough coolant in the system first. if not fill it up and burp the system. that will most likely fix it. try it first and tell us what happens
Can anyone confirm this since there are 3 wires. Also as far as the heating it's f'en annoying cuz it randomly does it. It sometimes doesn't heat up for days and out of nowhere starts overheating again. The only thing I've noticed is that when it does heat up I dong hear the fan and one time I checked it parked and saw the temp rise but the fan n

1.signal (should be .5v @ closed throttle and as you open the throttle this figure should change all the way up to 5v @ wot..)
2. sensor ground @ the ecu
3. reference voltage (approx. 5v )

Well as far as overheating do you think my fan switch might be tripping? That sometimes it turns on and then randomly maybe malfunctions? Oh and thanx for confirming.
