Transmission Fluid ?
I know this might not be the ideal place on the site to post this, but since you guys that frequent this forum are the ones that are racing and pushing your cars regularly, I figured you'd be the best to ask. There have been many questions about whether or not to switch from Honda MTL, to a product like Redline MTL. Some people have said that it's great to run and their trannys feel buttery smooth. What I want to know is are there any adverse affects of swapping over..you know..any problems I could run into? I have a stock 95 LS teg with right at 100,000 on it. I do consider myself a more aggressive driver. The cost of the Redline is no biggie. I just want to know if there would be any problems after I switch over. I hope to run my car on the track at CMP this weekend if they are doing that, just to get a taste of what it's like...I've heard they are doing that as they did last time. My tranny fluid needs changed anyways..I figured, why not go for this stuff? Any help from yall would be great. Yall are the ones that know. Thanx!

There's been A LOT of talk about this in the past. Don't remember the threads though. Try searching and see what you come up with.
Some people live and die by Honda manual tranny fluid and others prefer Redline MTL or Mobile One tranny fluid.

Honda MTF = $15 a flush...

Try 'em both. (not at the same time
)
I ran events on both fluids and didn't notice a real subjective difference in either one. But I can tell you either were a vast improvement over the 10w-30 oil that was in there when I bought the car... I settled on Honda MTF due to the availability and cost... ('bout 12 bucks a flush is my cost)
I noticed an improvement in the 2nd to 3rd shift - even with my crappy syncro...

OPM diff. OPM says either 10w40 or Redline. Balke says if syncros are good, then use Redline. If not, use Honda MTF. I assume my syncros are good, so I'll go with the Redline and see how that works out.

Pep Boys sells a pump (sort of like an oversized hand soap pump) that you can stick in your container and pump it in. I've been using one of these with success. You can also try one of those really long, flexible funnels.
