Default Fake spoon P13 Ecu or Not ? (pics inside)

Hello friends,

I have bought 1 month ago on EBAY MOTORS , he told me that it was a real spoon chip and he paid MSRP about USD $ 1400.00 .

When my item has arrived, i have opened my ecu and i have seen that it was a "atmel" chip ....

Here are picture of the product,

I opened through Paypal a and they ask me some professionals proof that it's a fake.

Please respond only if you are a professionnal.

if you need professional help, you are definitely asking in the wrong place, if it's a matter of disputing this, you need to get a hold of spoon and hopefully they'll be gracious enough to supply you with some photos and documentation on the real deal. ebay isn't going to take the word of a bunch of forum members. good luck, let us know what happens.

The ECU U own is DEFINITELY NOT a Real Spoon sports P13 ECU. It seems like it was a P06 Automatic Converted to VTEC and chipped with a regular EPROM burner. In Fact, that's NOT a P13 ecu to begin with. It's definitely a P06/P05/P07/P08/P28 ecu. I can get you one of these for $110 shipped, definitely not worth more than $200. Sorry to hear U got RIPPED. P13 casings are way smaller- PROOF ENOUGH.

Don't buy stuff like that off ebay man. If you want to, come here first and get flammed so atleast you go in prewarned. JK but serious in a way. I am sorry about you getting ripped off though dude. Make sure you get your money back asap. Call a lawyer too if have too. Don't be afraid to take this to the nine mile mark.

what company specifically did you buy from? we should begin slandering his name STAT.

It's a P06. Looks just like my old one (but it's not, I put the pictures side by side to make sure). I think I got $68 shipped for mine, and that's about what yours is worth

U can't say for sure which board it is b/c the P06/P05/P07/P28 all use the same board. However, I'm gonna say it's NOT a P28 b/c one of the 5050 highside chips was moved from either IC15/IC16 to IC14 to enable Vtec and there's no IC13 there.. But since P06's are the most abundant ECUs i've seen you're probably right.

yeah, I agree ^^ It's not a p13.. or a Spoon P13. I have an authentic Spoon P13, and the chip inside definitely is a Spoon Chip, along with spoon stickers & Tape.

It isn't genuine but unless you pull the code from the ROM you have no idea of knowing if the map is genuine or not. The Atmel chip is a generic memory chip.
