Default RPM's bounces up and down a few 100 while driving?!!
my girlfriends automatic 98 civic ex has started to have a bouncing rpm guage around 60mph the other day but now its starts at a lower speed and gets worse as she accelerates. Any suggestions?

the tach just goes crazy? if so id assume its the cluster itself

I had a customer car come in with this same problem. I just replaced the distributor but to be honest I could have just replaced the ignitor inside the housing to fix the problem.

It sounds like you may have a dirty/bad IACV. How many miles are on the car?
