Default 1-Rear Koni yellow making a Clunking noise..?

installed Koni yellows and GC's on my girls gsr. Rides nice on flat roads but once u ride over a decent bump the rear pass. side makes a weird clunking noise. Could it be that i cut the bumpstop too short or that the strut is blown?

car is moderately lowered btw.

Did you install the bumpstop plate correctly on the shock? The shock rod isn't poking up through the shock tower is it?

Also, you did NOT install the OEM dust covers, right? The GC instructions says to trim them way down, but that makes them pretty much useless anyway and it's better to just not install them. That way you can put them back on if you ever switch back to normal springs. If you tried to install the dust covers intact along w/ GC's, that can cause some major noise and possibly damage the GC sleeves.

u kno what..i did put the damn dust covers on! and i jacked the car up and seen a little scuff on the top of the sleeve. i'll take that out. everything else is nice and intact.

but was i supposed to cut the bumpstop in half? or not cut it at all?

for the bump stop, you really dont have to cut it, but if you plan on lowering a car a bit, then its recommended. I'd say do it.
