well that's one way to make an RSX rotate... I mean, is it just me or do those look like TE37 pizza cutters on the back?

Great pics! Thanks for sharing 'em. I want those Rs so bad.. my dream is to have a factory fresh example of each Type-R, and less pristine ones to drive! *wakes up*

Default ******The spirit of Type-R******

"The red emblem, the special color of Championship White and its spirit for RA272 racing machine that won the first F1 victory are granted only to the car with the title of Type-R"

There we have it. Straight from the Horse mouth (Honda that is). Only CW ITRs are real Type-R. All other colors like black and yellow are fake Type-Rs. Hahaha!

Icon7 Yes I miss Motegi...

I remember last year when I stayed at Twin Ring hotel at Motegi and waking up to the wail of high RPM Honda motors doing practice laps on the ring.. priceless..

The Museums on the track were the best and I even got my official racing cart license while I was there for 2 days, the best trip my wife planned (and paid for) to this date!

Even got some pics with Asimo!!

We only have 6 days here and Honda Thanks Day was the second day upon arriving in Japan. I was pretty fortunate that the Wifey took the time to figure how to get us out there, otherwise I wouldn't figure it out. With all the train connections, it took us close to 4 hours to get out to Motegi from Toyko. It's roughly about 100 miles.

There were plently of Hond Fit's and Odessey's in the parking lot. I just happen to come across a lot close to the collection hall that had all the Type-R's and the Mugen RR. I think those cars belonged to Honda employees. Supposedly the Civic RR was sold out it a hour right? So it had to be someone working there to get their hands on one.

Honda Thanks Day was a very crowded day. Lots of families, old and young. All sorts of Honda products on display, from lawn mowers to the Legend Sedan(RL). Food and beer was abundant. Go kart racing, a dog show, and a kiddyland made the atmosophere feel like a carnival. Tickets themselves were roughly $20 US but the transportation was about $130 US for train and taxi fair per person.

It was definitely worth the time and monetary cost to see the Collection Hall and with it being Honda Thanks Day, it was an awesome perk to experience the enthusiasm of real Honda fanatics! I'm still here for 3 more days, I'll try to shoot more pics of anything interesting...Thanks for viewing guys!

Btw, pics were shot with my wife's small Cannon S700.

The ITR had about 14,000 km. Didn't catch the others but paint was flawless on all three cars. The bostering on the ITR Recaro's had the typical wear though. The NSX-R seats are amazing...but I've seen them fetch 2700 USD or more each. They are carbon/kevlar Recaro's wrapped with Alcantra similar to the Pole position model.

I hope they can get out of the crap hole of almost being last place in F-1 next season from new car regulations. I hope R spirit can be risen from dead to salvage some face in the past horribles seasons.
