Default Y7 Pan on a D15B2?

Ok so I'm beginning to think that my D15B2 oil pan is dead. Swapped 2 new oil pan gaskets on it and the friggin thing still leaks. Anyways, I've got a spare Y7 sittin in the shop. Will a D16Y7 Oil pan fit on a D15B2 block?

Secondly, the crappy haynes manual reads that I should be Torqueing these things to 9 ft-lbs (108 in-lbs). Is this correct? At those specs the gasket is squeezing out the sides. I'd really appriciate it if someone could check their factory manual. PM me with what you find (I don't want to get anyone in trouble).

I think it's 8 ft lbs, also, you have to follow a certain pattern, and I think it's a step thing, like a head gasket. I know for sure, Honda recommends some Honda nond on the corners.

y7 and y8 pans will only fit those two engines and a y5 it will not fit the older engines just put some rtv on the two ends(coners) on both sides of the gaskets and it should be good. And also check your crank seals. Is it only leaking on one side or both.

Front and rear main are good. Already checked them. And the last time I put the pan on I covered everything with black RTV.

Just hand tighten i dont torque them i just look at the gasket and see when it starts to squeeze it out i back it of a tad and that should be good. clean it all and see where it leaking
you can use some type of diy to find the oil.... you mix it with the oil and then use a black light.

Yes that's true. Y pans go for y pans. I've tried. I cracked the y oil pan off some road, went back home to throw on a a6 and z6 oil pan on but different.
