stupid question
ok heres a stupid question but im sure everyone has come across this problem. ive searched on here and have seemed to not come up with anything. i have a 96 sohc civic and the alternator is shot. went to change it and of coarse couldnt get the bottom bolt out. tryed heating it, tried beating it with a hammer. nothing. anyone have any tips on what else to do. im on like hour number 3 on changing a damn alternator and its startin to **** me off. any help would be appreciated
alternator wont move at all. i have the top bolt out to. and the bottom left bolt is stripped from somone before me. if i get this bolt out im puttin a regular damn bolt in
I've been there before numerous times, i've even seen one extreme case where the case broke, the bolt bent and it still wouldn't move. When you put it all back together use lots of neversieze on the new bolt.
