Default msd ignition h22a

iv always wanted to upgrade to a msd ignition system. but every one iv found is for use with an external coil, and as far as i know my jdm h22a dizzy has a internal coil, is there anyway this can work with out (extreamly modding) things... i like to keep things basic :]

or can it not be done with out alot of modding. thanks guys

msd sells a kit to make the H22 use a external coil i would use it anyway its around $50 i think and easy its just a new cap and run the wires from the cap out to the new external coil

you'll be happier with stock ignition than MSD. Do not waste your time or money.

PS. I have a MSD setup(3 actually) and say its 100% not needed.

Yep, MSD ignition is not an upgrade. All it will do is reduce your reliability.

I've seen spectacular results on bolt-on Hondas when used with a 6AL box or equivalent

I recommend getting an MSD Digital 6. Smoother on the high end and a little better gas mileage. It comes with a rev limiter and 2step in one box as well. It comes with instructions on how to use it with internal and external coil setups so you will not have an issue with your dizzy...
