If you try searching "gold dipping" you will never find anything. The process is called electroplating. I only found one place in Sun Valley that does it but Ive always passed a place on the Gardena/Compton border that does it. Anyways, its not that hard a process, you can do it at home and they even sell kits for it. Hope this helps. http://www.caswellplating.com/#

yeah it is pretty pricey doing it on your own but at least you get that satisfaction of a DIY job. i have gone to the website of the place in sun valley but never called them on pricing. i guess it all depends on how much free time one has to do it you know.
good looking out!

Yeah, its a little pricey doing it on your own but you have the ability to do as much or as little and change up the finish as you want to from that point on. You could also do some stuff for people at that point. Glad I could help. What were you planing on plating?

no, nothing here. seems easy though, cheap for other metals too. You can do it at home with thing you might have lying around anyways. dont forget, you are dipping gold so you gotta get that plus the kit which raises the price. Honestly, it seems like one of those things that does itself. If you wanna do the lugs get the brush kit. see how you like that. For the cover Id take it in unless you think you wanna do more or for other people. good luck man.

Meh, I wouldn't do it on my car... A little gotty I think. But hey, it's not my car. If you're into that, then more power to ya, let us know how it turns out. Gold Valve could look nice with the right accessories under the hood to match it.
