Default H23 vs F23

Im planning to do a turbo project on my car and was woundering which is better for turboing. I know you guys are going to say h23 but why? They are both 2.3 litres.

f23's have the crappy version of vtec. h23 are hella strong motors.

whats so crappy about the f23 vtec?

f23 is SOHC, h23 is DOHC w/o vtec. the vtec system on the f23 is nothing great.

the F23 is pretty strong too...if you have a F23 don't get rid of it...if you want to swap one...well then I'd say go for the H23

Well, it is from a longer stroke, and the fact that it is only 9.3:1CR makes it a lot better for turbo.

F23 VTEC is kinda like the VTEC they had in the Civic VX's it was there for fuel economy more than anything.
