Hey I got a 2001 GS-R engine with 525whp and I know this sounds stupid but I did no tranny work. I would like to know what I should do to the trans that would be cheap and reliable.

 

Its kind of slow right now so just bump it instead of reposting.

o miles on the engine trans has i think like 55,000

I don't know if i can be much of a help with your trans but ill try.

have thought about upgrading your clutch or flywheel?

 

Thats already done stage 4 clutch 12.5 lb flywheel

no bueno on the ebay LSD get what you buy i would stay local if i was you just to be on the safe side

Take that GS-R trans and put it in your garage. Buy a good used LS trans and put that in.

You need an LSD. Stay away with anything associated with eBay. Do you have traction bars?

<--- I had a 500whp Type-R and let me tell you, the trans was waaaaaaaay to short for that power. If I were to do it again, I'd put in an LS.

 

how about instead of putting the gs-r tranny in your garage... you let me put in my garage. ill keep it safe. I'll keep it close to me like in my car .

well first off ebay has been great to me. It all has to do with being careful about what you buy and checking seller feedback, but some people will never trust it, o well your loss. lol. As far as between the GSR trans and LS. I have heard people with boosted Da's like the LS for the longer gears. However the gsr trans is suppose to be better, I dont know man its hard to say whats "better" I would rebuild the gsr trans. Im sure it would be better. It makes sense. lata

 

yea but right now money limited its winter no 1 tryna race work is payin the bills and 4 kikds lol so im tryna find sumin that would be good and no so expensive
