Default ls/cr-vtec vs poor mans type r

so i m reading, well im trying to, but google sucks, and i'd rather have the info from people that've done it before.

im wondering if it would be best to get a gs-r bottom end, and put an ls rotating assmbly in it, with CTR pistions, or do the lsvtec kit, which seems liek a serious pain.

let me know guys with pictures and whatever else you have to offer!

thanks!

the Ls block with ctr pistons would be making the most power (if built properly) so it would probably more convenient but a little bit of a sacrifice in power (even thought it would be only a little bit of a difference)

IMO just go with the gsr, because you'll end up having more money converting and a less reliable engine

I dont know about the ls crank in a gsr block but a built ls block will be more displacement and less money to build and still get more power than a gsr bottom block. and if properly built a b20vtec will own both of those motors.. theres no replacement for displacement. 1.8 vs 2.0
