Default j/w bout gsr block w/ ls head

is this just a dumbass idea???? i was just wondering because people say that the ls block is soooo much weaker than the gsr block. what if you didnt want vtec and decide to put on an ls head???? just wondering cuz i dont know much about hybrid motors

Stupid idea... hehe j/k... You could do this but there is no reason to want too... You would be better off with the GSR head and the LS block... VTEC='s the best of both worlds, good bottom end and screamin top end... If you didn't want VTEC for some reason then just get a straight LS... Because of the difference in the combustion chamber volume your compression would drop to somewhere around 9.4:1 from 10.0:1... I guess you would still have more power than an LS tho since there C/R is around 9.2:1.. USDM GSR pistons have a little less negative dome than LS pistons... Peace
