Default 95 CX o2 sensor help

Ok im getting a check engine light for an o2 sensor. Tried 2 others and still getting the light and yes i disconnect the battery to reset the ecu. I know it has something to do with the wiring because the check engine light doesnt go away even before I start the car. Its the one wire sensor and i even tried wiring it up right next to the ecu at pin D14 and still get the light. The thing is this car ran a chipped p28 ecu with a 4 wire o2 sensor and didnt have any problems now im running the stock p05 and wired it up for a 1 wire o2 and having problems. I even tried wiring it back to a 4 wire and pluged in my p28 and got the code right away before i start the car. I screwed something up and not sure what. Im almost 100% sure theres no fure for this now im stuck. Thanks for your help

i always thought just simply disconnecting the battery never resets the battery but you must touch both terminals together the make it reset

WHAT?! I hope to god you're joking.

To the OP, sorry I have no idea why it wouldn't work, it sounds like you have it wired up properly.
