brake differences
What is the difference between the 91 civic si and the 90-93 integra front brakes as far as the rotor caliper brake lines because i had bought tha whole front knuckle assembly from password and they had told me to buy everything for the 91 si well I went to have the wheel bearings changed and i bought the ones for the si and they were about 1/4 to small so the ones for the integra fit i need to rebuild the calipers before i put them on my car so how do you tell the difference between the two and which ones i really do have any info would rally help thanks

Integra front knuckles use bigger wheel bearings but you would use your stock civic soft brake lines they bolt right up to the integra calipers.......

the factory civic Si rotors are 9.5" and the integra ones are 10.2". you need the integra calipers. and it wouldn't hurt to get the integra proportioning valve. with going to a larger diameter piston in the caliper it takes more fluid to move it, causing you brake proportioning to be off. now is it gonna make a huge difference if you do it or not, no, but at least it will be how it is supposed to.
i would just get the whole front knuckle assembly off of a 90-93 integra with caliper and everything including the soft lines. it is a direct bolt on. but also remember that the integra spindle is longer than the civic one so the geometry will be off a little. basically you will have positive camber. this can be fixed by lowering your car or by an adjustable camber kit, but you will hit your fenderwell easier than if you had the civic spindles.
if you can find the front knuckles from a 90-91 civic 4 door ex get them. they keep the civic geometry but still use the 10.2" brakes. still use and integra proportioning valve though. it's a 40/40 proportioning valve. and you can get that from any 90-00 integra or 90-95 civic EX. It won't work from a 96-00 EX because the valve design is different.
