yup can just get a new boot, Can run like that for as long as its lasts which may be a few weeks depending on climit where you drive. For example if your driving on sand it will be lucky to last the day, But if your only doing motor way driver with no dirty it will last like a year.

Use the search button or just look cause there's another thread that has been going on with the same question. But all you have to do is get a new boot if it isn't making any noise. ohh and get some grease too.

I'm waiting to do my passenger axel and the driver side boot on my car. I've been driving around for like 2 months like this. you can drive around for while but its better to change it soon. so you don't have to do the whole axel like me . haha sup long ^

It depends on how long you've been driving it like that. You might save yourself some trouble by just changing the axle now before it goes out.

Thats what I ended up doing. Got an axle on the cheap and then replaced the boot on the old one and sold it.

I think you might as well change the axle.

And you might as well do both at the same time. If one went bad, the other is right behind it.

I just changed my passenger side because the boot tore, now 3 months later the drivers side need to be done. wish I would have done them both at once.

Hey I have this same problem but I don't hear any noises. How about when you do it, you do a step by step thread (with pics :D )changing the axle boots cuz I search and search and found nothing showing/telling how to do it. TIA

I know theyre not the same cars, but it should be pretty similar..

word, I'll take a lot of pics, and do a write up. Its a pretty straight forward project.

Should I make a new thread in the Accord section?

In my opinion, its worth it to just replace the entire axle. Especially if its making noise.
I'd only look at replacing the boot if for some reason you get a tear in a relatively new axle..

I actually didnt get to take too many pictures. Ive got a few though. I ended up doing this an alternative way since I couldnt get the lower ball joint/ control arm separated.
I'll post it up anyways with what I have, when I find time.
