Easy door checker / indent rod question
Long time lurker, but I can't find anyone else asking about this. My 1997 door checker / indent is making a very harsh grinding noise when the door is opened and closed. I tried white lithium grease but it didn't help at all.

part #12 is the area I am talking about
If I remove the 2 10mm bolts ( and the pin connecting the indent on the frame body #16) will the entire assembly pull out for inspection/replacement or do I have to remove the door panel and detach something inside the actual door?

From the illustration, you'll be dealing with #'s 12,16 and 27
Door Stop assembly
Door Stop attachment pin
Door Stop retainer screws (2)
If I remember correctly, it's no more than opening the door full, remove the pin, removing two screws and it ends up in your hand.
