Ok, these bastards were dicking with me too much at the engine supply store. I was supposed to have this project from hell done 2 months ago but the engine supplier send me a hydrolocked h23a1. I got pissed because I slapped a new timing blet and all the maintence items on it, then had to pry them all off again. I asked for a new engine to be shipped immediatly. The second one gets fucked up during shipping and I request a 3rd. It has been a week since my request and still no engine.
Today I said i wanted a full refund. I have a shitload of h23a1 parts laying around (~$500 worth) and I am totally turned off to the idea of engine swaps. It is too late in the summer to begin a project seeing as how I go back to college in 26 days.
There are 3 F22b2s laying around at my work doing nothing, and I can buy one of these for DIRT Cheap and build it now/over winter break into a turbo monster. I would have to eat the money spend in lude parts if i couldnt sell them.
OR
I can go F22b DOHC or H23a1 and stick as planned. Steve from hondamotorsonline quoted me $900 shipped for a JDM F22b, and a couple of hundred bucks more for an H23a1.
Help me out guys, I need some outside opinions that are not influenced by emotions regarding previous experiences..

I have always been a fan of the F-series, so I say go with the F22B2. They may not be F22B1's, but they are cheap and you can build them up easily enough. Also, you know that the F22B2's are good, who knows what will get sent to you next if you buy the F22B.

Well, if you're going to park the car regardless of what engine you either have or have not installed, just park it and wait. Prices will probably come down on the H23 and since you work at a dealership, you might be able to land a new 2.4 motor from the upcoming Accord.

Then I would stick with your original plan and use the H23. Go through with what you wanted. I have to believe that you did enough research on all fronts to have chosen the H23 for a reason. Stick with it.

I say stick with the H23 too. I think we all have been eagerly awaiting this project also to see the final result. You don't want to disappoint all of us now do you?I'm sure the H23 will outdo the f22 in the long run so stick with it.I know I can't wait to see it happen.Good luck
