Icon2 05 Types S rpm - mph ?'s

Ok so I picked up my 05 Type S today and it drives fine and runs really strong. It was salvaged due to front left collision and was fixed by a body shop. Smogged and everything, drove 200 miles back home perfectly w/ no problem. But I was a little irritatted because I used to own an 02, 04 type s's before the 05 and the mph - rpm range was way off on my 05 compared to my previous DC5's. I dont know if its just the gear ratio's are different or that i need to fix it myself but @ 3400 rpm's im only goin 70mph and 75mph is @ 3700-ish rpm. is that suppose to the range on the 05 - 06? But it doesnt feel like its running as hard as the rpm's show it is. and also my temperature guage will stay about 1 or 2 little lines below half. Usually its suppose to be a little over a quarter on the temperature guage to be normal right? do i have a faulty Thermo stat? or is that normal, car doesnt seem to overheat or anything. Jus wanted to know if anyone could shed some light on me on this. Thanks guys.

your car is perfectly fine. as far as temp goes, you will see it idle near the middle in warm temperatures (85+), but when it's cooler like it is now, you will see it slightly below the middle.
