as it shows above i did a swap from d15b7 to d16a6.. i was told that my fast idle valve had gone bad so i replaced the whole throttle body with the fiv. it still idles like crap. going from 1.5k rpm to 3, idling up and down. any suggestions?

 

clean your throttle plate, check your vacuum lines, make sure everything is plugged in. Check your coolant level. low coolant will cause idle to surge.

 

Yeah, I'd say either the IACV is bad or dirty, or the cooling system needs to be bled. Also possible that the IAT and IACV connectors got switched during the swap, certainly wouldn't be the first time i've seen it happen, you should have a CEL for that last one though.

 

theres no CEL's. and also theres no coolant in the radiator so that could be the reason its idling bad right?

 

Yes. add coolant and bleed the cooling system before you go any further.
