Default Sway Bar ????

Hi Guys,

Mine is a 08 LX sedan and am thinking about installing/upgrading front and rear sway bar's.....is an OE SI setup good or should I go with some thing else.....I mean I see a Si set up on ebay going for $158...but if I going to spend that kind of money I might as well spend some more and get the best value for my $$$...any suggesstion???? any links???and direction of where to buy it from and what....

The OE SI front measures 28.5 mm and the rear 17.5mm. here is the link for the listing

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...8623&viewitem=

...is this a good deal...or can I get some thing better than this I know the rear @17.5mm are thin....?????

any help would be nice....

The ebiach ones are 19mm rear and 32mm front for $259....is this good resonably priced...or will this make it way too stiff???

keep your lx front sway and upgrade to the progress rear sway which is 22mm. It'll make the car rotate better.

rotate as in the back end will be more willing to come around. Don't worry its not like you'll be drifting every freeway on/off ramp and you won't be spinning out of control on every turn. A thicker rear sway will just stiffen up the back and make the car turn better/sharper. less understeer

The Si upgrade would be pretty significant compared to the sizes of a stock LX sway bar setup. Stiffness of sway bars increases dramatically proportional to the diameter of the bar. So you will notice a big difference just by upgrading to the Si rear sway bar and keeping the LX front sway bar considering you're going from a stock 11mm to 17mm....which is a huge jump.

one last question ..is it required that the front and rear have the difference in mm...I mean some one above suggested that I could just put in a rear progressive 22mm sway and call it a day woudn't this bring the front and the rear very close in dimensional mm's.......

thankx for all your inputs guys...

Not necessarily. The fronts are just generally greater in diameter because of the added lateral loading in the front compared to the rear. The point of adding a stiffer rear end is to give you better yaw, or rotational response [think of an xyz coordinate system, yaw would be rotation about the y axis].
