Icon2 2005 Accord Glovebox Rattle

The glovebox door on my 2005 Accord EX is rattling and beginning to drive me crazy. If I put pressure on the door with the heel of my hand it subsides. What can I do other than spending a fortune to have the dealer fix it?

This is a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) for 98-99 Accords; but, try seeing if your 2005 Accord has the similar rubber stops. If so, they may be worn out.

Also, check this post out regarding how someone fix their rattle in a similar year Accord as yours:

Google the subject, and you will find answers regarding how to fix the glove box rattle.

Not to thread jack, but the light in my glove box is always on when the car is on (can see it through the crack between the dash and glovebox). Any solutions?

Like said above on the right side of the glovebox there is an arm attached to a shock reattach that and your rattle should go away

in addition to what is said above if you pull the glove box down, look at the striker and follow the bracket it attaches to, to the 8mm bolt. if you loosen it and push the stricker back a little bit and retighen that should take care of the noise.

The glove box light is on, when ever the lights are on. It goes out when you turn the lights off. That's just the way it works. No problem.
