i have a 91 hb at that i just purchased wit a broken timming belt.
fixed it it runs mint but took it down the road n noticed that it would not shift from 1st n that the speedo dont work either would it be in relations to each other plz help.

 

maybe when the timing belt snapped its messed up some synchros in the tranny. did u check the fluid? did u hook up the speedo cable in the back of the engine/on the tranny? and no they are not related

 

i did put the speedo cable n checked the fluid but still wont shift wat else should i do n check
