is there a way i can tell if i have a type s h22a?
i have a 98 5th gen with a USDM h22a4 Head and the bottom end its the JDM H22A i was woundering how would you tell if its the type S or not. and i asumed the head is USDM h22a4 because on the timming belt cover it says h22a4 on it so i would asume its us but the bottom end for sure is jdm because all it says is H22A. Just wanted to know more about the h series. thanks
oh is there a way i can tell with out the tranny? lests say i just bought a h22a without tranny is there something else on the block were it will tell me what kind it is? also whats the diffrence beside HP on the regular jdm h22a and the jdm type s h22a?
its a base model prelude but with a h22a4 head(thats what it says on the timing belt cover) and a h22a bottom i cant tell what the if the bottom is type s or not... i cant even tell if the head is the h22a4...haha

on the block, where the engine code is located. THere are two portions, top portion (JDM should be H22A, USDM should be H22A1 or H22A4) bottom portion should start with either a 1xxxxxxxxxx or 4xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
