Default is there a way i can tell if i have a type s h22a?

i have a 98 5th gen with a USDM h22a4 Head and the bottom end its the JDM H22A i was woundering how would you tell if its the type S or not. and i asumed the head is USDM h22a4 because on the timming belt cover it says h22a4 on it so i would asume its us but the bottom end for sure is jdm because all it says is H22A. Just wanted to know more about the h series. thanks

If you have regular H22 (non-ATTS) trans, it's not a Type-S.

on the block, where the engine code is located. THere are two portions, top portion (JDM should be H22A, USDM should be H22A1 or H22A4) bottom portion should start with either a 1xxxxxxxxxx or 4xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Regular JDM H22
H22A
1xxxxxxxxxx

Type S
H22A
4xxxxxxxx
