Default My 97' GSR Build.

Here we go gonna try to make this a build thread. I have had the car for bout 2 months so far and just doing lil pieces at a time there is no need to rush it since its not my DD. I bought the car from a co-worker for 300 bucks with just a blown bottom end and clean title, lil mods, body needs work but its all good, thats why its a project car right?. Couldnt beat the deal so I had to get it. Anyways here is my 97' GSR b18c1 soon to be b20 vtec.

So far I have got quite a few things-

- GSR Head port and polished
- b20b block
- GE vtec conversion
- GE block guard
- GE Main Girdle
- ARP bolts, studs, ect.
- WiseCo 84.5 mm Pistons
- GE I-Beam Rods

Waiting On-

- Stock GSR Oil Pan
- Clutch Master Stage 2 cluch
- Clutch Master Flywheel
- ACL bearings
- All the Gaskets

Pics-

B20 with guard. (I know I need to put it down some more)

All the stuff laying in the room.

Interior cleaned it up real well thats why theres no pass. seat.

Empty Engine Bay.

Exterior Shots.

Heres the stock GSR bottom end. DAMN big hole.

Any comments or help with the build would be apperciated.

Thanks
Andrew

I auto-x my SVT focus, so I plan on doing the same with the Integra. Its going to stay N/A. I might run at the track a few just to see what I can get outta it.

No, you need to either install it correctly or get rid of it. You probably already egg shaped the bores by pounding it in like that.

The rest of the project looks good. $300 for a clean titled shell is a pretty good deal.

Bought the girdle form Lightning Motorsports. It was like 100 more than the stock one so I just said hell with it and bought the GE.

Block has been bored and honed and picked up I was starting to put it together but got caught up in some other mess. so I will have pics up hopefully tomorrow or friday with the block put together. Still needing to order the oil pan, baffle, and a few other lil things but hopefully by next week we can get her cranked up.

No thats not the clutch I was waiting on. Im still waiting on it, we did a group buy from a local shop and we are waiting for them to come in. Taking forever. And to be honest I have no clue how he did it, but his loss was my 300 dollar gain.

Just picked up Nuespeed Strut bar, Type R lip for the 98 front bumper, and AEM short ram, all for 150. Not gonna use the intake it was just in the deal so.

I have taking a break off it since the Holiday is here. All I need now is oil pan, gasket, hytech big tube replica headers, Hondata s300, and just lil sh*t here and there.

Maybe Santa willl bring it to me.
