T3/T4 Turbo, Pros and Cons Anyone know them? Has anyone delt with turbos for GS-Rs?
I am thinking of getting the t3/t4 turbo system with hks blowoff valves low compression pistons and intercooler. Is this bad for the car? Would I be fine running 7lbs boost?
basically any mod you do to your car that adds power is "bad" for the car. anyways if you get low compression pistons and a intercooler you should be fine boosting 7 lbs. on a GSR. GSR can boost up tp 10 lbs. on there stock motor just need to add a little more fuel or help it get a little more fuel.
Yeah that is a pretty good set up from what i have been told / seen. I would deffinately put some ARP's and a good head gasket on there when installing your turbo. The most important thing is saftey. In that I mean make sure you have enough fuel(Bigger injectors and in line pump), the proper maintainance( make sure your T-belt is up to date, your car isn't burning oil, and so on), and fuel management. Fuel management is what will fine tune your car into making it run much better instead of blowing black smoke rich. Good luck.
