Not unless it's absolutely bone stock, mint condition with all original equipment and very low miles.

Even then, only maybe.

Don't get caught up so much in the years and miles, as much as how well they were taken care of, the condition, maintenance records and history.
Check how many owners they've had, original parts, matching numbers, etc...

You can tell a lot about a type r by the current owner, I have personally found.
If the owner knows nothing about the car, is an idiot, and doesn't care...that will really show on his car.
You have an experienced enthusist, who has documented mileage, history, receipts, and sound knowledge about the car...that's worth an extra $2k in my books anyday!!!

"Pretty much" stock? What's been done to both?

IMO, $2k for two years older and just 10k fewer miles does not make sense, unless you *must* have CW.

It's really what YOU prefer. I like the '00-01 Black and Yellows more than the Champ Whites so that's what I was looking for. I'm definitely in the minority though.

And don't forget the 97, that is the most rare out of all ITR's, and definitely is unique with its front end.

Really, as CDUB said, it comes down to what color you like the most.

Either in any accidents? It is hard to tell you what I would do without knowing much about either car. If you want our best opinnion youll need to tell us more about them.
