You need a line out converter. They're also known as line-level converter or "hi-low" converters.

Instructions will be on/in the package.

I don't recall saying anything about an in line converter.

*rereads posts* Nope. Sure didn't.

I do, however, see that I mentioned that instructions will be on or in the package. Or, you might try a Google search for the proper name of the device in question.

Make and model of amp and subs?

Many amps have "speaker level/high level" inputs, which you connect your speaker wires to, instead of using RCA's. Check to see if your amp has this feature.

Get a line out converter. These can be had for about $20 at best buy or ciruit city or car toys or anywhere like that. This gets spliced in behind your hu and then you can run rcas to the amp. Do not use the high-level input. Listen to b18c ej8.

"its a sony xplod amp and deck"
???You have a Sony HU, [deck] that does not have RCA outputs???

We need model numbers to be able to help you, go look on the amp and deck for the model numbers. 94

I had a reply typed out but I figured that since I'd already answered this guy's question twice, I wasn't going to bother trying to help him again... It started out with "Are you fuc king serious???"

What a coincidence. My reply did too, but I deleted it just before I posted...

They're there for a reason. The converters are handy, though.

This may be, but we're clearly not dealing with an audiophile.

I'm curious what his budget is. It may be worth it to just buy a new (or used) HU that has RCA outputs (preferably with a sub output) and call it a day. Like fcm, I'm curious as to why his Sony HU does not have any RCA outputs. It must be rather old.
