Default Auto Arm

Are there any viper alarms that has a feature where the car automatically arms itself after a certain time has passed?

A good majority of them will - Even my Clifford Matrix 1 (same company, "DEI", as Viper) had such an option. But, it will only arm the alarm, not lock the doors, to avoid chances of locking your keys in the car.

The system will notice the car turn off, and if it 'sees' a door open and close, it'll begin the countdown 'til arming. It's typically 5 minutes.

It's under the "Security" section of the manual, menu item 1:
System Arming Mode:
1.) Active
2.) Passive Arm w/o Lock
3.) Passing Arm w/lock
4.) Auto re-arm w/o lock
5.) Auto re-arm w/lock

Now that I glance at it, turns out there's a feature to make it even lock upon activation! This is off a Clifford Matrix 50.7x manual, which I'm near positive is a "Viper 5901". It should be the same for the 5900 and 50.5x if you'd like to save some mon-ay.

From what I see, your alarm costs a bit more than my Matrix 1 did, so it should have such a feature. I'll research more... (Lol, first Google result "viper 350 auto arm" is this thread. Searching passive arming now.)

Aha, http://www.directeddealers.com/manua...426V_07-05.pdf

Page 8 mentions passive arming, and page 22 shows what option it is. It'll allegedly activate 30 seconds after the door has closed. It's menu item 1, set it to "2" for passive arming to enable. This involves the valet switch, have it handy? I'll read more to find out how to program it, I've forgotten, but I believe it involves holding valet and flipping ignition on.

http://www.directeddealers.com/manua...426V_07-05.pdf Yes your alarm has "passive arming", even "forced passive arming" programing starts on page 14, it is in Menu #1-1 and 1-7. 94
