Default HELP!! my shift column locked!!!

so i have an auto transmission but i cant take it out of park, im freaking out because i need it tomorrow morning. if anyone has any suggestions please let me know asap.

Do the lights in the dash work, Does the stereo work. It will be one of these fuses or the solenoid and stuffed up.

Doesnt yours have a hole to stick a key in to unlock it. If it does just use this to shift it into N and use N instead of P intill you get it fixed. Other wise youll need to pull the surround off and unlock it manually by cable tieing the clip the solenoid moves.

yeah the lights and stereo all work, my car doesnt have a shift lock release but i got a reply from somebody saying it might be the "transmission position switch", ive never heard of that but could that be it? any other suggestions? where is the solenoid located?

Solenoid is under the surround just by the shifter. When my car was auto I removed it and just cable tied down the clip it moves around because I was always pushing my car around the yard instead of driving.

The transmission position switch wouldnt stop the shifter moving. It would just stop the ignition because the car would think it was in gear.

What about tail lights I think there fuse is connected with the auto stuff aswell.
