k so i have no idea what u call this thing, window crank i guess.

anyhow... i know there's a little metal piece that u have to pinch together or something to slide the crank off but i dunno if there's a trick to locating it or getting to it, i always break my cranks off trying to do this. someone please help.

 

Theres a clip between the crank and the door panel, you need to gently pry the door panel away from the crank so you can see the clip, you'll need a small screwdriver or a very thin pair of needle noses to get it out.

This picture is from a miata but it's the exact same thing. You can see the clip still attached to the crank in this photo.

Not trying to offend, but if you can't tackle this job, maybe you should just take it to the dealer.

 

thanks man i appreciate the help. that picture helps alot, i was trying earlier to use some needle nose to squeeze that gold pin but i was in the wrong spots for sure, i'll try again thanks to your help.

 

Get a wire coat hanger, and make a very small hook on the end, not even a hook, just a L-shape. Bicycle spokes work really well too.
