Why not just fix the issue in the first place? So the fan comes on when it is designed to.
Not trying to be an ***, but why go through the work of wiring something that shouldn't be wired in the first place?

well what would cause the fan to stay on all the time anyways? my buddy was doin some work to the car one day and said it was runnin a lil hot cause the fan wasnt workin and he did something to it but it looks normal in the fuse box for the cooling fan?
You might want to replace the Coolant Fan Switch on the thermostat housing those switches either fail both ways. They will stay open loop or closed loop! So try replacing it. Obviously the fan motor works just fine cuz its on but the relay controling it could be open and not cutting the circuit when the switch sends the signal. Don't skimp out on trying to run the fan off a toggle switch usually the fan switch runs u like $25 at Autozone and the relay maybe something around $10 -$20!
