Default Slotting my block guard

I have a f22 block that im gonna put a block guard in, but ive seen some evidence saying that the 48x 0.150" holes drilled in it isnt enough to keep the tops of the cylinders from getting too hot. So i was thinking about slotting from hole to hole on at least half of them. Have any of you seen this done anywhere? Its a piece just like the kms one. Thanks

You would be weakening it by doing that...not like it does anything anyways. I would not use a block guard at all. Its all in the tune. And you dont have to worry about cooling!

Putting a block guard in isnt gonna help brace the sleeves like you think. If a sleeve is gonna crack the block guard isnt gonna stop it. And by drilling out the cooling holes your gonna make the guard even weaker. If i were you i wouldnt even install a block guard. Its not worth it
