My A/C in my 97 accord gets cold for a couple of minutes then blows out no cold air for awhile. I would then stop at a light and my idle would drop under 500 and the car feels like it's gonna die.Had gotten it recharged 2 times and was still having same problem. They said that there wasn't a leak. There's also a crazy noise for a couple of seconds coming from the engine when I drive and it would go away. Any help would be appreciated!

 

Sounds like a problem I had with my old car, a busted a/c compressor and a leak... next time you get it recharged ask em about the glow-in-the-dark stuff they can mix with the freon, that way if its leaking you can see where with a black-light.
