eshaust on eg's
just wandering what is the quietest eshaust i could get for my little egg, yes i mean egg. Also if you guys could do me a favor, post as many pics of your eshaust system as possible. I dont really know whatn style to go with, i mean i see plenty of canister styles around, and not to many of the others. So if you all could help a fellow eg owner out!!

yea the dunk is one of the loudest
That's a great exhaust and you have a nice hatch, but thats far from a quiet exhaust system
I was just doing what he asked. I don't think it is that loud, and NO exhaust is going to be quiet compared to stock.
I have a full catback Tanabe Racing Medallion with testpipe. Right now I have my silencer on cause it is loud as HELL!
At first I liked the sound of it, real deep at low rpm and roars at high rpm especially when VTEC hits, but it can take its toll on the ears and I grew tired of this real soon. I've had the Tanabe on my '92 CX for 2 years.
Here's a couple of pics of it on my car. Don't get me wrong, it looks nice but everyone and their mommas have the N1 or canister style muffler on their cars nowadays, but you can be sure that Tanabe is the OG of them all.
Now I'm looking for something quiet, ES muffler or the original RS*R catback.

stock type-r
1- trim the rear bumper rebar to let the muff tuck up in the body
2- modify the B-pipe
3- take the heat shields off the muffler to give you a LITTLE extra room needed
4- make NEW hangers
5- put up on the lift and redo the hangers about 4 times to hopefully make it stop rattling against something
6- after tonight HOPEFULLY mine will be nicely hung and not hit the underside of the car
this muffler is a very nice mod WITH a good B-pipe , but it is NOT a bolt on affair
OH yeah , you have to trim your rear bumper cover also , but you can hardly tell

Yep, Tanabe is definitely loud, especially on a hybrid. I've had mine for almost a year and I'm in the process of getting the Apexi WS.
