B18a questions (over sized valves, head bolts or studs)
ported PR4 head..i got .5mm larger intake and exhaust valves to put in it(coated and all that jaz). now i know the seats will need cut, but do i need to put completely new seats in, or just have the olds ones cut for the new valves?
secondly. i know im going to use the oem headgasket. but new bolts or go studs?
just is my little spray motor im building on budget. and may boost it when the time is right.

you certainly do not need to put new seats in it..infact you really didn't need to go oversize for your combo. We have run over 800whp with stock size. You can fit the .5mm valve on the stock seat however...and when you find out how much it would cost you to put 16 seats in the head, it would probably make your decision much easier. It will be expensive!
thats what i needed to know. i got a deal on some some .5mm larger coated valves, and if my head guy says he can do it, but i figure id ask here first! i plan on upgrading cams later, but to run the stock 92-95 b18b cams would i need to upgrade the springs? not sure how much heavyer the valves are... i was just thinking of putting the exhaust side ones in, since those are the one i had issues with on my last spray motor!
