Everything isn't done moving yet. They're about to start working on more.

im not sure if im correct about this, but if there is about 34 million threads to transfer, and this new site takes a long time to run as of now w/ the little info there is, wont more data make the system run even slower?

The posts are all here. Search is not quite working right, as they are re-indexing the entire database, but once they are done, you should be able to use it to find your posts (and anyone else's). See the announcement titled "Search" at the top of the page.

The system is running pretty quickly for me. It wasn't when it was first brought over to vB, but now I am not having any response time problems. Certain functions like search may still take a while until the re-indexing is completed, but I can post and read topics just fine now, no complaints.

Also, all the threads have been brought over; it's just the search indexes that are still being updated.

Did you read the Announcement at the top of the forum page? They're re-generating the indexes across the database, and it should be done by the end of the week. Once that's done, search should work properly. And you won't have to do searches twice (there's no Archived Topics separate from Recent Topics).
