Bogging engine and CEL turns on than off no code!!
OBD0 PR3 ECU (Virgin) in my B16 Hatch. Car just started to bog out during acceleration and CEL will turn on than off but no codes being stored. Had wife check ecu during test drive and ecu no flashing codes but triggering CEL. Ive checked the harness 3 times now and no wires exposed or pinching. IACV is clean and checked everything that has ran across my mind. Using Factory SiR manaul ( on CD) but can't figure out what the hell is going on. All the injectors are properly working and car idles fine and does fine in neutral. The car now has a Brand new 255 Walbro pump and New coil, rotor, Distr. Cap, wires, plugs, PCV, headgasket, oil w/filter, fuel filter, and seafoamed it. Returned new coil for another one and still same issue. I have ran out of any possible ideas. It started this 2 days after i changed ignition coil when it went out. The 2nd new coil ohms out fine .7 on primary and secondary was within its spec as well. I need some help here PLEASE!!!!
catching wind that the igniter in the distrubutor causing the issue does this sound like the issue or am i being talked into buying all new obd1 distr., conversion harness, and chipping and tuning a p28 ecu i have laying around?????
IT very well could be the ignitor module going out. i had the same issues replaced my and it went away. plus thats alot cheaper than going odb1, just done it and it cost me about $500 so i try that first
