Default 93 del sol: where's the choke **** ?

Got your attention didn't it ....
When i start up first thing on a cold cold morning the engine idles at 2100rpm till it starts to warm up, about 2-3 minutes, seems much too fast though. It runs fine, a/c idles up ok, idles at 650 when warm, no other probl;ems or codes set, just runs way too fast when cold started.
Is there an ajustment for cold start idle speed without efecting the regular idle ?

I dont think there is any specific way to do what you are talking about, as far as something you can adjust.

try cleaning your FITV, then see if that helps.

If you had crome or hondata you could adjust it. that requires getting your ecu chipped.

If you hadn't noticed, all cars have a fast warm-up cycle. If you think 2100 RPM is bad on a fast warm up, go drive a RX-7. My 87 would fast warm-up at 3500 RPM for about a minute, then drop to 1500, then to 800. Also, if you haven't really driven any other cars, there's a reason that a lot of people love Hondas in the winter. My Accord would be at operating temperature in approximately 3/4 of a mile without letting it sit to warm up. My girlfriend's EK is the same way.

I love driving my car in the winter for the same reason. Freezing outside? Toasty warm in my car.

for some reason, my 92 with a gsr motor takes about 3-5 minutes before warming up...its fast idle is at about 1.5k rpm, however my ol' b16 hatch would fast idle at 2.1-2,3k rpm, and with the loud exhaust it sounded brutal starting it like that in the cold...just remember we drive Hondas, they can take it!
