Civic D15 intake nuts/timing belt/head bolts
Hey, i did some searching, but couldn't find the answer, or exact answer. I bought a 93 4dr civic from a friend with an extreme lack of motivation, he took off the intake and valve cover and AC stuff... but thats as far as he got. It needs a head gasket, maybe a new head, (might be cracked). Anyways, he didn't really keep track of anything, but obvious parts (valve cover/intake) So i don't have any of the nuts for the intake studs, and i was hoping some one would know what size/thread pitch they are. Secondly in the FSM it says to loosen the belt tensioner, move it and tighten it back up to get the belt off, but i don't really see any obvious way to do that without taking everything off first. I thought about just slipping the belt off (marking it first of coarse) and i saw it suggested, but that doesn't seem like it would work very well??? Lastly, are the head bolts torque once or can they be re-used. Sorry for my first post being such a long one.
the D15B7 has an updated head gasket(multi layer steel, as opposed to composite gasket) and new head bolts.
Intake nuts are 8x1.25 flange nuts.
Above the crank pulley you will see a little black rubber plug. remove this to expose the tensioner pulley bolt(14mm head). Loosen the bolt and slide the belt off the cam.
