Just purchased an AIR intake manifold. From what I have read I will have to redo my upper charge pipe. I know I have to remote mount the IAC. But what else will I have to do to run the AIR? I'm going from a Skunk2 Pro to the AIR. Is there a limited amount of boost that they can take? I'm just looking for what all to expect with this. I have done a fair amount of reading on there power advantages, and I have wanted one since the first time I saw one. I know it's a little mich for the setup as of now but in a year or two (deending on money) it will be put to good use.
Please do not make such comments. You have no idea what you are talking about. Their newer manifolds with the better adhesives are nearly bulletproof. Tony1 used the older version not to mention ming used methenal and never bothered to clean it out.
I didnt see Tony say he'd run one with better adhesives, either.
If the fastest guy in the class uses a $300 intake manifold, why bother spending three times as much for something that might fail?

No, he still had the JG/edleterd on there at E-town too. The AIR is great for a street car, but for a race car like Tonys, the JG works great. Not to mention the cost difference is extremely large. I have used mine....Old version....for about 10k miles now, never under 30psi and it still works well with no leaks, cracks, delamination, etc. on a street car.

It's for a car that I'm building (not funding) for my roommate. When he found it i told him if he want's to spend the money go for it. Well he said if it went over $650 he wouldn't buy it. Well I didn't think it would go that low so I kinda forgot about it. Well I got back from a weekend trip and he had a **** grin ear to ear. I couldn't believe he spent that much. But it's his car and his money.
I do not know more than what I am read on Jeff Evans website except that a friend of mine was running 2.2L ITR on ITB's and when he switched it to his AIR IM, he liked it better. I don't know if it made more power, ran cooler, or anything informational except that he preferred it over his ITB's.

Actually your wrong in every aspect. Stock AIR against either STOCK manifold would be victorious by a decent margain. This test has already been done and the AIR has proven victorious. Tony's manifold is not stock, not by a long shot.

The edlebrock of course :-p
So even if the AIR happened to be better...how much money can you save?
To the OP, sorry for cluttering the thread but you may want to ask this kind of question before you purchase a really expensive part to save yourself the agony in the future. Good luck!
